How We Got Started

Our organization grew from a grassroots organized protest that originated on Facebook, to a fully operational nonprofit organization in less than two months.

Our goal in starting the Minot Women's Network was to go further than just organizing a protest. We wanted to make a long term difference in not just Minot, but all of North Dakota.

As we got started, we realized that there was a major need for an organization based right here in North Dakota to focus on the issue of reproductive rights. As we move forward, we will be collaborating with well-known, established organizations such as Planned Parenthood, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Prairie Action ND, the Prairie Abortion Fund, the Red River Women's Clinic, and many more.

We are dedicated to providing accurate information and resources to North Dakotans, and we look forward to serving you as your local advocate for access to reproductive care.
