The Fine Print:

Submission Criteria:

  • Artists must be based in North Dakota and be willing provide verification of residency
  • Submissions must be at least 300 PPI (pixels per inch) and be in one of the following file formats:
    • .TIFF
    • .PNG
    • .PDF
  • When possible, please send the original vector file format (.AI, .EPS, .SVG, .CDR, etc.)
  • Files should be labeled with your artist name and the title of your work
  • Artists must be willing to fill out a submission form at the following link: https://forms.gle/J72yRkscvkc4XLcg8
  • An artist statement is recommended. This statement should include a brief description of you as an artist, a brief or explanation of your art, a description of your creative process, and a statement of what reproductive justice is important to you.
  • All submissions must be original art. AI generated art will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Artist must be willing to make edits to the file if needed for printing purposes, such as changing the dimensions, background transparency, etc.

Compensation:

  • Each accepted piece will receive 25% of all profits.
    • For example, if a t-shirt using your design has a base price of $17.81 and retails for a total of $31.50 including sales tax, you will receive $3.05, which is 25% of the $12.19 profit.
  • The Minot Women’s Network will be responsible for any sales tax from products sold.
  • Artists must be willing to complete an IRS Form W-9 for tax purposes.
  • Artist are not required to fill out a W4 and are considered independent contractors for tax purposes.
  • Artists will receive a 1099-NEC form at the beginning of the year only if payouts total $5,000 or more in the previous calendar year.
  • Artists are responsible for reporting any income they receive from the Minot Women’s Network to the IRS, regardless of amount.
